The Turkish 100 lira note is a denomination of Turkish currency. A portrait of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, a Turkish field marshal, revolutionary statesman, author, and the founding father of the Republic of Turkey is featured on the obverse of the note. An Ottoman-Turkish musician, composer, singer and poet Buhurizade Mustafa Itri, notes, instruments and Mevlevi figure are featured on the reverse. Paper tinted with a lighter tone of the dominant color of the denomination is used.

Security features can help you to tell if a 100 Turkish lira note is fake or real.
1.Holographic Stripe
The foil motifs of 100 Turkish lira note corresponds with the note design. Tilt the banknote and look at the hologram from various angles, these motifs display colorful and shiny reflections. "TL" letters in the rectangle change into the denomination of the note.
2.Security Thread
The security thread is embedded in the banknote paper. If you look closely, the letters "TL" and the denomination numeral "100" are visible along the thread from both sides of the 100 Turkish lira note.
3.Latent Number
Concealed "100" can be seen when the banknote is tilted horizontally at the eye level.
4.Watermark
Hold the bill to light and look for the watermark, similar to the large portrait. The watermark is part of the paper itself and can be seen from both sides of the bill. Reproduces the small version of the Ataturk's portrait located on the obverse side of the banknote and the denomination of the banknote.
5.See Through
When held up to the light, front and back elements combine perfectly the form of the denomination of the note.
6.Intaglio Printing
The security thread is embedded in the banknote paper. If you look closely, the letters "TL" and the denomination numeral "100" are visible along the thread from both sides of the 100 Turkish lira note.
7.Iridescent Stripe
Tilt the banknote of 100 Turkish lira and you will see different color effects, shifting into a golden yellow. The denomination numeral "100" and the letters "TL" can be seen on the obverse side of the banknote.
8.Security Feature for Visually Impaired
On the obverse side of the 100 Turkish lira note, to the upper left corner of the watermark, dots using the Braille alphabet for visually handicapped, are applied by intaglio printing which are different for each denomination and can be felt with fingertips.
9.Microlettering
The letters "TCMB" on the bottom and top edges of the rectangle on the holographic stripe and "100 TL" within the crescent-star on the obverse side of the 100 Turkish lira note are printed in microletters.
10. Features Visible Under UV Light
Under UV light:
- The paper itself does not glow
- Fine fibers embedded in the banknote paper are not normally visible. These fibers glow in blue and red colors under UV light
- The security thread will glow in blue
- The denomination numeral "100" and "TL" letters on the Ataturk portrait will appear and glow in red
- The serial and sequence numbers printed in "red" will glow in "bright and shiny red" and those printed in "black" in a "yellowish green
